General information

Daytona Beach Golf Club features two 18-hole championship courses, putting and chipping greens plus a lighted driving range with grass and mat stations (open until 9 pm every day except Sunday) that is open daily to the general public. Moderately priced with top rates including cart in 2006 of around $50, the courses at Daytona Beach were designed by Donald Ross (South Course in 1921) and Slim Deathridge (North Course in 1946).

On property is a full service pro shop with top of the line golf equipment, clothing and accessories, and with club repair and gripping services available – as well as Ping club fitting. The Clubhouse Restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner menus, plus all the standard bar items. Weddings, banquets and outings of up to 200 people can be accommodated in the clubhouse setting. On course 150 yard stakes are visible on the fairways of all par fours and fives, and sprinkler heads are measured to the center of the green. Pin placement info is provided for on each score card.

The North Course was designed by Slim Deathridge in 1946 to compliment the Ross course. This layout is the easier of the two on property, and features wide landing zones and only slightly raised green complexes. Water is present on 13 holes, though only prominently comes into play on five or six. There are just 18 bunkers on the course, making this a very player friendly layout. Some tight, challenging doglegs however,  create a challenge for the more seasoned players.

Three sets of tees play to distances and slopes measuring 6229 yards/118 slope, 5950 yards/116 slope and 5156 yards with a slope of 116 for women. Daytona Beach Golf Club is a great believer in junior golf – and backs it up by hosting three area high school programs, plus year round instructional programs for young players. Rates are kept low so as to encourage youth to take advantage of the 36 holes of golf and wonderful practice facilities.
