Crooked Cat features significant elevation changes, rolling fairways and large, contoured
greens. With fewer trees, wider landing areas, native heather and mounding framing the
fairways. As with links-style courses, there is an element of chance, and a wayward shot can
end up in one of many seemingly randomly placed grass bunkers. The back nine of Crooked Cat may
be the best nine on the property and is the favorite of many low handicap golfers due to its
length and challenge.
Crooked Cat is part of the Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge - which also
features the 4-1/2 star Panther Lake course, plus the 9-hole Tooth short
course. Also on property: Phil Ritson Golf Institute, 42 acre practice
facility, 22,000 square foot clubhouse with 5,00 square foot pro shop, 200 seat
restaurant with lounge, and Golfers Lodge with 46 rooms. For a pictorial
