Deer Creek Golf Club in Deerfield Beach, is a premier Arthur Hills championship design that has been
recognized with 4 stars from Golf Digest Places to Play. Set in a luxurious tropical environment, Deer Creek is
noted for its exceptional course conditions and country club amenities. Large undulating greens, tree lined
fairways and variations in elevation give the course character and eye appeal. A 2 million dollar renovation
during the summer of 2004 means that guests will be treated to even better playing conditions than what were
formerly available. The upgrades along this atypical rolling South Florida landscape include greens that have
been renovated with TifEagle Ultradwarf - a strain of Bermuda that provides smooth, quick putting surfaces.
Other changes involve the rebuilding of 4 fairways, 5 tee boxes and the addition of new tee locations on 6 holes.
Sand traps feature new sand, and the drainage systems in the bunkers and throughout the course have been
totally renovated. Improvements were also made to the practice facilities, which include a grass range plus putting/chipping greens.
The 30,000 square foot clubhouse at Deer Creek boasts a Key West design and includes a 2,500 square foot
pro shop that received an award as the "Merchandiser of the Year" by PGA America, plus locker rooms with
showers for both men and women. The Deer Creek Grille and adjacent outdoor patio present wonderful views,
and feature outstanding menus, and is open 365 days a year. Visitors will enjoy the waterfall patio and lush
landscaping that make Deer Creek ideal for golf parties and receptions. The Key West, Biscayne, and bridal
suite rooms compliment outstanding banquet facilities that can accommodate groups from 30 to 300.
On course golfers will be pleased to find that state of the art GPS is standard on all carts, as are weather covers
and windshields. Sprinkler heads are also measured to the center of the green. Five sets of tees play in
distance and slopes 7050 yards/135 slope, 6717 yards/130 slope, 6333yards/122 slope, 5918 yards/119 slope and 5300 yards with a slopes of 127 for women..
Deer Creek has been called a "thinking man's" course and a fun layout along rolling hills. There are some long
par fours and fives, with sufficient opportunities for driver off the tee, however. The upscale conditioning and
exceptional service combine with the interesting design to make this a very memorable golf experience - fair yet
