EAGLEBROOKE GOLF CLUB
Florida Golf Course Review
Eaglebrook Golf Club is Lakeland's only 4 1/2 star course, with mention in Golf Digest's Best Places to Play.
Host to the 2005 Senior PGA Qualifier, this 18-hole championship layout plays through an upscale residential community with some elevation changes on a rolling, manicured terrain.
Amenities on property include a fully stocked pro shop, casual dining area/lounge with "happy hour" daily, and
banquet/outing facilities that can accommodate parties of up to 300 guests. Lunch and dinner menus are
featured daily and breakfast is served as well on Sundays. The practice facilities are extensive targeted grass range, short game area with sand bunker, plus large putting green.
Golfers will appreciate the six choices of tee boxes, which play to distances and slopes measuring 7030
yards/138 slope, 6663 yards/133 slope, 6316 yards/126 slope, 6000 yards/122 slope for men and 137 for
women, 5577 yards/117 slope for men and 125 for women, and 5009 with a slope of 110 for men and 117 for ladies hitting from the forward tees.
On course yardage blocks are located on the cart paths at 100, 150 and 200 yards, with 150 yard stakes
situated on the fairways as well on all par fours and fives. Sprinkler heads are measured to the center of the
green and pin placement sheets are standard on all golf carts, which also feature rear weather covers.
The holes designs are generally open and are frequently shaped by abundant mounds that separate adjacent
fairways. Trees are seldom in play and are not dense on any portion of the course. There are 7 ponds on the
acreage which result in hazards on 13 holes, and 57 soft sand bunkers are situated greenside or near the
landing zones on the manicured fairways. There are some sprawling sandy waste areas that add aesthetics and challenge.
With the 6 sets of tees, generous landing areas and abundant hazards plus fine conditioning from tee to green, golfers of all skill levels can enjoy a round at Eaglebrook.
The Detroit Tigers hold their annual golf tournament there each spring, and this course is recognized by locals and visitors as the best in the area!
We highly recommend a round here! For more information, visit our page for the course, with direct link to their website by clicking here.
