JULIETTE FALLS GOLF COURSE (352)522-0309
Florida Golf Course Review 12/6/07
Situated in the beautiful Ocala countryside, Julliette Falls is a spectacular golf community featuring a variety of
upscale homes and lifestyle opportunities. Visitors are treated to wonderful vistas that include lush tropical
foliage and beautiful landscaping, including a man-made 9 foot cascading waterfall that highlights the green
complex of one of the course's signature par threes. This property has earned the Audubon Silverl Sanctuary
status, and features a 136-acre nature preserve that is home to abundant native wildlife. For information on residential and lifestyle opportunities, visit their website by clicking here.
Mature pines, flowering magnolias, live oaks and seasonal annual flowers adorn the property, creating a lush
and serene residential and golf environment. The 7300 yard John Sanford designed golf course is sculpted into
the rolling terrain, with manicured conditioning from tee to green, and with five sets of tee boxes that afford
golfers of all skill levels to choose a set that fits their game. There also is a 10-acre practice facility with a double
ended range featuring 11 target greens, putting greens and complete short game areas with sand bunkers.
The phase one clubhouse includes a pro shop plus casual dining/ luncheon area with lounge. Construction on the
permanent 52,000 square foot clubhouse will begin soon. Upon completion this elaborate facility will include an
expanded pro shop, casual dining area with comfortable lounge, complete spa and salon with men's and
women; locker room/shower facilities and saunas, zero entry lagoon pool with Jacuzzi, full fitness center, plus
banquet facilities that can accommodate up to 400 guests. There also are tennis courts, and a 5 mile jogging
trail that winds through the nature preserve. A halfway house is situated near ninth and tenth holes, providing sandwiches, snacks and beverages for those making the turn.
The course features a variety of sand features raging from sprawling waste areas to conventional fairways and
greenside traps, with 74 such hazards scattered about the course. Water comes into play in the form of crystal
clear spring fed ponds and natural areas on 7 holes. The tee boxes play to distances measuring 7236, 6729,
6269, 5747 and 5071 yards. Slope and course ratings were not available during our late 2007 visit.
The yardage marking system includes sprinkler heads that are measured to the center of the green, plus Laser
Link that provides accurate yardages to the pin. A daily pin placement sheet is also available to let golfers know
which of the quadrants are chosen for the day's hole locations. Each tee box also has yardage markers that are measured to the center of the green, from each set on every hole.
This is a very upscale golf experience (rates including cart top out at around $125 per player in 2008). Golfers
willing to take the drive from Orlando will be glad they did - we highly recommend this experience! For more information, visit our page for this course, with direct link to their website by clicking here.
