North Shore Golf Club in Orange County is a Mike Dasher championship design featuring two distinctive nines. The initial nine is links inspired and
traverses through native wetlands, while the back side is carved through a century-old oak grove creating a classic Carolina feel. Located just 7 miles from
Orlando International Airport, this is one of Central Florida's top golf values.
Four sets of tees provide golfers with an opportunity to play from tee boxes that measure in distance and slope - 6898 yards/138 slope, 6518 yards/133
slope, 5833 yards/125 slope and 5023 yards with a slope of 117 from the forward sets. Each golf cart is equipped with canvas covers to protect clubs
during inclement weather. On course there are yardage blocks posted at 100, 150 and 200 yards, and sprinkler heads are also measured of the center of
the green. There are four rotating pin placement locations.
Deep sand bunkers are strategically located along the landing areas and greenside - providing some tough challenges for offline shots. There are not
many (around 2 dozen), but those present are penal. Water comes into play in some shape or form on 10 holes. The green complexes are varied, some
raised and others providing easy entry to the large, mildly putting surfaces.
On property is a full service clubhouse with pro shop, locker rooms with showers, snack area/bar plus outing facilities that can accommodate up to 150
people. Practice facilities include a grass range, chipping/putting green and short game area with sand bunker. There is instruction of all types available by
PGA Teaching professionals, and memberships are also available.
The mix of tightly tree-lined and wide open fairways keeps this round interesting, and provides challenge and playability for all levels of players. Online,
