General information
Walden Lake features 36 holes of championship golf designed by Jack Nicklaus and Ron Garl - located near I-4
and just minutes from downtown Tampa. The two layouts feature plenty of trees and water, with undulating greens
that make this a fair yet challenging golf experience for all levels of players. Both course wind through a residential and industrial community.
On property is a 27,000 square foot clubhouse that can accommodate up to 300 people for outings and special
events. There also is a full service pro shop plus Bogey's Restaurant, which features spacious seating
arrangements and a comfortable lounge. A lunch menu is served daily, as are standard bar items. There are two
separate banquet rooms - one that services 250 people and another that can accommodate 120. Practice
facilities include a grass range, short game area with sand bunker plus expansive putting green. Yardage plates
are situated on the fairways at 100, 150 and 200 yards, plus 250 on the par fives. Color coded flags indicate front, middle or back pin placements.
LAKES COURSE
The Lakes Course at Walden features a milder terrain than that of the undulating Hills layout, but plentiful water
hazards make the course challenging and also provide aesthetic beauty. There is a mix of tight and open
fairways, and the green complexes are slightly raised and mildly undulating. Players will encounter a few forced
carries off the tee and also some on approaches, although most are relatively short in length. There are 50 sand bunkers located on the course, and 10 holes have water in play in some shape or form.
Four sets of tees play to distances and slopes measuring 6561 yards/132 slope, 6246 128 slope, 5699
yards/124 slope and 4953 yards with a slope of 124 for women hitting from the forward sets. The scorecards
provide hole diagrams for each course - helpful information for first time visitors. The rates here top out at under
