Bent Tree Country Club on Sarasota is a par 72, 18-hole championship design that underwent extensive renovations in 2015. The front and back nines were flipped (IE, back nine
is now the front), the greens now feature tifeagle putting surfaces, and the tee areas and sand bunkers were renovated. Course rerouting and irrigation system improvements
make play better than ever at Bent Tree Country Club.
The terrain is mildly rolling with manicured fairways bordered by towering moss draped oaks and native vegetation. A bonus that traditional golfers will appreciate - walking is allowed anytime, even during prime time! The mildly sloped and raised green complexes feature true rolling greens that make a round here enjoyable for players of all skill levels.
There are approximately 36 soft sand bunkers situated mostly greenside with just a few located in the landing zones off the tee, and water hazards come into play on 7 holes with
few forced carries. This residential course is well marked with 100/150/200 yard markers on the fairways, sprinkler heads measured to the center of the green, and 150 yard
stakes posted on all par fours and fives. Small markers on the flagsticks indicate the day's front, middle or back pin placement.
There are 5 sets of tee boxes - so golfers of all skill levels should be able to choose a set that fits their game. The tips and blue tees present a formidable challenge, with
distances and slope ratings of 6606 yards/133 slope and 6380 yards/131 slope. After that, the alternate sets are player friendly with distances and slopes measuring 6058
yards/125 slope, 5570 yards/116 slope, and 5217 yards with a slope of 119 for men and 113 for women hitting from the red boxes.
On property is a full service clubhouse with restaurant and lounge, locker rooms with showers, and pro shop. The restaurant serves a lunch menu from 11 AM TO 3 PM (dinner is
