The golf facilities include 45 holes of award-winning Jack Nicklaus designed golf, the Grand Cypress Golf academy, a full service practice area featuring a targeted range with
complementary balls, and a clubhouse with pro shop, locker rooms with showers, restaurant and spacious lounge, plus outdoor patio.
The courses are open to resort guests, tournaments, memberships and a limited amount of public play. The 18-hole New Course is a Scottish links masterpiece featuring
numerous double green complexes, an open rolling terrain, pot bunkers and winding creeks connected by stone bridges that add a unique aesthetic quality. The 27-hole Resort
Course is a perfect compliment - with 3 tree lined designs that feature plentiful water hazards and great variety in hole design.
. All three nines were designed by Jack Nicklaus between 1984 and 1986. Many of the holes are tree-lined with beautiful water hazards coming into play on 15 of the holes, and
with 78 sand bunkers situated greenside or along the landing zones of the 27 holes. Landscaped pampas, mounding and marshy natural areas also form the perimeters.
THE RESORT COURSE
There are 4 sets of tee boxes that offer opportunities for players of all skill levels to choose a set that fits their game. The slope ratings range for 125 to 142, with the North/South
combination providing the most challenge. The longest any of the 18-hole combinations will play is 7132 yards, with the shortest from the red tees being 5056 yards. The Resort
course also features Informer GPS on all carts, providing accurate distances from tee to pin.
Many green complexes are raised - with the # 6 hole on the South course providing an especially daunting challenge. As you can see in the review, there are some gorgeous golf
holes… including a beautiful Island Green par three on the East Course - truly one of the signature holes. We highly recommend a round here! For more info, visit our page for the
course with direct link to their website by clicking here. Photos in this review were provided by The Villas at Grand Cypress Resort.
