The Great Outdoors Golf Club (321) 269-5524
Florida Golf Course Review
Located just off the I-95 in Titusville, Florida, The Great Outdoors Golf Club is an 18 hole par 72 course that plays through a classic tract of Florida wetlands with a wide variety of
natural flora and wildlife. The Great Outdoors RV & Golf Resort also offers a wide variety of recreational opportunities as well as residential communities and events.
The clubhouse features a well-stocked golf shop along with a sports lounge and the Blue Heron Restaurant which provides a wide variety of dining options. With the Plantation
Manor that provides seating for up to 250 people and is located directly adjacent to the clubhouse, the facility is well-equipped for outings, banquets and weddings and special events.
Practice facilities include a unique targeted aqua-range algong with a short game practice area as well as a practice green. Lessons and clinics are offered by a PGA
professional as well as an experienced LPGA Instructor.
The Great Outdoors Golf Club provides players with their choice of 4 sets of tees measuring 6444 yards from the tips (123 slope/70.3 rating), 6042 yards (118/68.2), 5518 yards
(110/66.1) and 4723 yards (100/62.8 for men and 110/66.4 for ladies). The scorecard offers the use of alternate tees and provides accurate yardages, slopes and ratings for those
combinations. Yardage plates are located in the middle of the fairways at 100 yards, 200 yards and 250 yards and and 150 yard stakes are also located in the middle of the
fairway. There are 13 sand bunkers on the course and 9 holes where water comes into play.
We found the course to offer challenges at every turn - from small, sloping greens to narrow Bermuda fairways, to the water hazards off the tee. Players who are used to grippin it
and rippin it will find themselves more thoughful about their club selection at The Great Outdoors.
