JENSEN BEACH GOLF CLUB (772-692-3322)
Florida Golf Course Review
Jensen Beach Golf Club (formerly Eagle Marsh) in Jensen Beach is recognized as one of the most beautiful and challenging layouts on Florida's Treasure Coast. This course was
designed by Tom Fazio and upon opening in 1997 was nominated by Golf Digest for "Best New Course". The facility provides an outstanding golfing experience that combines
nature and wildlife on 260 landscaped acres. The fairways are undulating with ample landing zones, but golfers will be challenged to reach the sloping putting surfaces which well
protected by sand bunkers and mounding..
Five sets of tee boxes play to distances and slopes measuring 6918 yards with a formidable slope of 144, 6397 yards/134 slope, 5993 yards/129 slope, 5247 yards/111 slope for
men and 123 for women and 4720 yards with a slope of 113 for women playing from the forward sets. A 150 yard stake is visible on all par fours and fives, and the Kirby marking
system is in place (yardages provided every 25 yards from 200 to 75 yards). Color coded flags indicate front, middle and back hole locations on the true-rolling Tif Dwarf greens,
with 419 Bermuda providing excellent playing surfaces on the well manicured fairways. Golfers will encounter private club type conditioning from tee to green at Jensen Beach Golf Club.
On property is a full service clubhouse with restaurant/lounge and banquet outing facilities for up to 200 people, a pro shop plus locker rooms with showers for men and women.
Practice facilities include a grass range and putting/chipping green. All carts come equipped with weather covers, to protect clubs during inclement weather. The course meanders
through a beautiful residential community, with abundant wildlife present in the natural marshes and ponds.
There are 9 holes with water in play in some shape or form, and over 80 soft sand bunkers can be found greenside or along the landing zones on fairways. As the slope ratings
indicate - this is a very challenging round of golf - particularly from the two back sets of tees. At the same time, the layout is also player friendly for women hitting from the forward
tees. Local golfers consider this course to be one of the area's top tests.
Jensen Beach Golf Club is situated within the Savannah Wildlife Preserve, with wonderful views of the marshes, wetlands, and mature pines which house many varieties of
nesting birds. It is one of the few remaining public courses on the Treasure Coast. The property is also home to the Jensen Beach Golf Academy. For more info, visit our page for
