Remington Golf Club (407- 344-4004)
Florida Golf Course Review
Remington in Kissimmee is the sister course to Kissimmee Bay, located just 5 minutes down the road. Golfers can easily play both courses in the same day. The two courses will
undergo serious renovations in the next year or so, but are currently open to public play.
The clubhouse at Remington includes a pro shop plus restaurant/lounge serving a lunch menu, with plus banquet/outing facilities. There is a practice facility that features an aqua
range, plus short game with putting/chipping green.
Golfers will find the course well marked with 100, 150 and 200 yard markers on the fairways of all par fours and fives, and pin placement locations are reflected through red/white
and blue flags to indicate front, middle or back hole locations. There is room for error on most holes, but golfers will have to navigate the sprawling sandy waste areas and 54 soft
sand bunkers.
Water comes into play on 17 of the 18 holes, with the par three 12th the only exception. Several of the mildly sloping green complexes are defined by wood retaining walls – which
adds aesthetics and character. Most holes are pretty straight forward. The par five 13th however, takes a serious 90 degree turn as it doglegs left on the approach.
There are five sets of tees that play to distances and slopes measuring 7111 yards/135 slope, 6769 yards/132 slope, 6328 yards/125 slope, 5876 yards/118 slope and 5178 yards
with a slope of 117 from the red tees. Experienced golfers will be challenged from the back tees, but the whites, silver and red tee area are very playable for the average player.
This layout is also set up for soccer golf! For more info visit our page for the course with direct link to their website by clicking here.
