Westchase Golf Club in Tampa is Clifton/Ezell/Clifton championship design that has been awarded 3 1/2 stars by Golf Digest Places to Play, and is the centerpiece of the
Westchase master-planned community. The course features large manicured greens (averaging more than 5,000 sq feet) surrounded by natural wetlands, wooden bridges and
bulkheads, as it traverses terrain that winds through acres of lakes and woods in the midst of an upscale residential community.
On property is a modern, full service 9,500 square foot clubhouse, that includes a fully stocked pro shop, locker rooms with showers (towels and toiletries are available), and
dining room/lounge that affords great golf course views. Banquet, special events and meeting rooms are also part of the complex - making Westchase an ideal spot for outings
and parties. There is a large putting green, short game area for chipping and bunker practice, plus an aqua driving range with a floating green. Lessons and instruction of all
variety is offered through the pro shop. With these fine facilities, it is no wonder Westchase is recognized as one of Tampa Bay's finest upscale golf properties.
Golfers will find the state of the art GPS, standard on all carts, to be efficient in providing accurate information from tee to the pin. The full color, 3-D graphics monitor also features
hole diagrams and indicates yardages to and from the various hazards along the layout. 100, 150 and 200 yard markers are also visible on the fairways, and sprinkler heads are
measured to the center of the green.
The par 72 layout features 3 sets of tees ranging in distance/slope from 6710 yards/130 slope, 6233 yards/123 slope and 5205 yards/121 slope. Water comes into play on 11
holes in the form of ponds or marsh areas - which host abundant native wildlife. 54 sand bunkers also dot the layout.
