Woodmont Country Club (954) 722-4300
Florida Golf Course Review
Woodmont Country Club in Tamarac – Southeast Florida, is a beautiful traditional Von Hagge and Devlin design that features wide tree lined, rolling fairways and raised, well
bunkered green complexes. The photographs and descriptions in this review are of the Cypress layout.
The Clubhouse at Woodmont is expansive, and includes a pro shop, restaurant and lounge, locker rooms with showers for men and women, plus banquet/outing/event and
meeting rooms. The practice facilities on property are comprehensive, with a targeted grass range, short game area with sand bunker, plus putting green.
There are 5 sets of tee boxes that play to distances and slopes measuring 7043 yards/137 slope, 6623 yards/131 slope, 6290 yards/125 slope, 5407 yards with slope of 106 for
men and 125 for women, plus 4860 yards with a slope of 114 for ladies playing from the red tee areas. Each
On course 150 yard stakes are positioned in the center of fairways on all par fours and fives, and 100 and 200 yard blocks are also posted. Scorecards provide info on the day's
pin placements. Golfers will encounter numerous doglegs and plentiful water hazards – both greenside and bordering fairways, with several wood-walled retaining complexes.
Water comes into play in some shape or form on 12 holes and 60 sand bunkers are scattered about the layout.
The course meanders through a residential community, and was in extremely good shape on our late fall visit. Players of all skill levels will appreciate the beautiful surroundings
and pleasant playing conditions at Woodmont. We highly recommend a round here
